I was thrilled to see that Mack finally has a GREAT webpage! Congratulations. I've been a Mack "groupie" for many years -- starting with Mack and the Hard Travelers in Annapolis and the Cystic Fibrosis fundraising concerts. A more beautiful voice, a more captivating personality, a more talented and feeling songwriter, and a more genuinely good and loving person you'll never find anywhere! If you haven't spent an evening (or a day) listening to Mack Bailey you need to give yourself a wonderful gift -- check his schedule here on his website and go hear him. From Mack. Thank you so much for your comments and visits. I wanted to take this opportunity and this forum to say, that while a new CD is in the plans and works, there is a strong possibility that it will not be available this year and it may not be Christmas. I want to do it right and not have the project feel rushed and pressured to put "something" out. I will keep you posted on what and when. As always, thanks for listening. Mack

Mack, I loved the concert in Troy last Friday night. Thanks for signing the photo of you and I back from Aspen 2 years ago. I'm glad my children got a chance to hear you too. Even my 13 year old , who, I drug along reluctantly, admitted that it wasn't "horrible". :-). I hope you'll come back. I'll make the trip again. Thanks. Rene Miller, Saluda, S.C.

Mack, So enjoyable to hear you again, and this year, to meet you up in Aspen. I'll be sharing "Just Because" with my friend whose mother has advanced Parkinson's (and others!). Glad we had a chance to tell you about the forthcoming "Sunshine On My Shoulders"/JD picture book. I'm so excited that the books are finally going to happen, to reach a whole new generation! Keep singing, and I'll keep coming to listen!! Best wishes, Sandy Fuller

Mack, Just wanted to say that you were absolutely wonderful at the concert in Baltimore at Saint John's Methodist Church. The John Denver Tribute was spectacular. I just couldn't stop the tears. It was like John was really there. I can see a lot of potential in the future for you. I was the blonde sitting in the second row up front. Keep up the good work. You are gonna make it. You can make that guitar sing. I hope to see you in concert again. I have already told many people about you. Good Luck in everything that you strive for. Laura (SunAspen)

My husband and I were present for your second holiday show at the Rams Head Tavern last weekend. Thank you all for putting on such a wonderful show. I really appreciated the Civil War songs. We are from Hagerstown, Md, near Sharpsburg and the Antietam Battlefield. It was neat to hear our neck of the woods mentioned. I also really loved your song "New Old Friend" the words describe a group of girls I met over the internet. Our group has decided to adopt that song as our theme song. Again thanks for sharing your talent with us. Marie E. Hagerstown, MD

Mack.... Knowing you since our College days, which was not that long ago, and enjoying your music more and more over the years, and seeing your fan base and your exposure grow is such a thrill. I can say that one of the greatest things we all have is the pleasure of hearing your words and your voice. One of the most unique and heartfelt gifts Katherine and I received was you singing for us at our wedding. Our guests told us "Mack's voice captured the essence of what your wedding is about" We look forward to the cruise.  Seth and Katherine. Edgewater, MD

Mack, It was great to see you again! We loved the performance at Jammin Java on June 1st! The guy on piano was really good too! Wow! Mack's concert Sunday night at Jammin' Java was simply terrific... the interplay with Chris Nole was really funny and I can't tell you how much I loved the new CD... blasted it in the car during the 3 hour drive home and can truly say in my opinion that it's the best thing Mack's ever done! Love the new version of "Just Because I'm Not There" even more than last years... if you like religious music at all, you NEED "Why I'm Here!" PS: you can get silver Sharpies at Staples

I thoroughly enjoyed your program at the Rams' Head in Annapolis yesterday. Perhaps because my husband (and Larry's Dad) died a year ago today, I was particularly touched by a song which probably is named "Without You". I looked for it on your CDs but either I missed it or you have not recorded it yet. You may respond to me at granny21144@yahoo.com

Dear Mack, I can't believe how quickly you responded especially since I had inadvertently omitted my name. I took time this a.m. to listen to the CDs I had picked up in Annapolis and sure enough, Time to Time is the song I was trying to recall. Isn't it interesting how my brain failed to register the phrase" time to time: yet I heard every "without you". I guess that is what performers are referring to when they talk about what the audience brings to a program. Thank you again, keep working, good luck, and God Bless us all. Alice Kushner

Hi there,

I already have some of your recordings, and I must say I will be very curious to hear your rendition of "The Wandering Soul", which I find one of the best songs John Denver has written. One remark thereto, however, because it has already been recorded, albeit not by John himself. The first professional studio recording was made by John Adams back in 1998 already. Just a little background information...

You do not give the names of the songs that are on the "Tribute To John Denver" CD. Is the song, "Farewell To A Dreamer" on it? The song was written by Buddy Renfro and Tim Malchak. If this song is on it, I want it. Parke C. Bogle pbogle@psknet.com

Hi, Mack, saw you at the Underground in Ontario, CA on August 3rd, and loved your show. I heard you in Aspen in 2002 so knew what a wonderful voice you have and that I was in store for a treat, which you delivered.

It also touched me that you said you loved CA. I am a transplant to CA from OH (1991) and cringe hearing all the negative things about CA as I love CA. You get good and bad anywhere but I have found the people of CA are warm as the beautiful sunshine.

Judy Therrien emailed that they loved having you and you are welcome there anytime.

Hope to see and hear you soon, back in CA!

Good luck with your music - it soothes the soul.

Mack,

It was a real surprise to discover you at the House Concert at Judy's in Monterey last Saturday. Your music and voice were super! I loved your new song about "Listen to the Children." I hope that it's a big success on the PBS show. From the enthusiastic audience, it's obvious that California loves you! Look forward to seeing you again soon.

Hey, Mack! I finally got a chance to listen to the entire CD (I'd played Looking for Space immediately!). I was captivated by the Irish ballads and beautiful vocals! Also, the mixing on the CD was perfect! Thanks for a delicious moment away from the stresses of daily life. I took my time getting home from work last night so that I could hear the entire album. It felt like I was being transported from the heart of the city into the cool, calmness of the mountains! Thanks! /Carolyn

Hi Mack! My husband works in San Francisco and he called me from work and said "guess what happened on the way to work?" He told me that he was listening to the radio in the car and it was the start of the A's vs Orioles game. They asked all to stand as they heard the National Anthem sung by Mack Bailey!! My husband said he listened closely and sure enough it was THE Mack Bailey and not just someone who happened to have the same name. He said he wished he would have had his cell phone so he could have held it to the radio so I could listen too!! That was so cool to have him get to hear you way out in California!! I got on the phone and had to tell Marcia...I can't wait to get to hear you on our local radio station here in Idaho!! I KNOW that one day that will happen....I will turn on my radio and you will be there singing to me and I will call the station and say "hey that guy has a great voice!!! Play more of his stuff!!" :-) Hope you are well...see you soon in Aspen!! Hey, I'm thinking that Ireland sounds good in March!! HHMMMMMM?!?! :-) CiNdY (Dougherty) :-) You know, Cindy, of Marcia, Cindy and Heidi Take Care!!

Hi Mack. Just wanted to tell you I just received a CD you made with Mollie Weaver == Wish You Were Here. It is so beautiful. It's a wonderful tribute to John's music abilities, and trying to keep his memory and music alive for the rest of us still down here. You picked some of my favorites, and of course, Mollie has the voice of an angel. I only wish you would both have been in the play in Denver "Almost Heaven". I saw both last year's production, and this year's, and you could have sung rings around those performers. Keep America Singing John's Music!!! Sincerely, Mrs. Jean Kendle in Mishawaka Indiana

Although we spoke to you at the New Years Eve concert just wanted to drop you a note to let you know that the concert was outstanding. You and the rest of the band gave us a great evening of John Denver music and you all sounded great!

Thanks so much for all of your efforts in keeping John Denver's music alive. We hope to see you out here in Phoenix again. As always, we will continue to see you in Aspen in October.

By the way the new CD "Wish You Were Here" is great and we have played it everyday since New Years Eve.

Hi Mack, We are still thinking of you from your concert in Aspen during the JD Remembrance week in 2003. (and we still have 2 cookies w/your picture on it!)

We never heard the name of the young Spanish-American fellow who sang with you and offered his song for you to sing with him. We also saw him in the park at the "Meet and Greet", where he sang to his parents who "got married" in the park. We would sure like to know his name so we can perhaps follow him in his career. Will he be joining you at future concerts? Thanks for keeping John Denver's music alive. Wayne and Jean Kender   inacolo2003@yahoo.com
