The Limeliters tour the San Francisco Bay Area in early November, 2005

From Santa Cruz and Monterey to Antioch and Redwood City, with San Francisco in the middle, the Limeliters were warmly received on their tour.  Mack performed for local school children and ended the tour with a solo concert in a Monterey church, followed by a late drink with friends Judy Therrien, Rachel Levy, Laurie Kern and her friend.  Backstage in Antioch, the Limeliters signed the wall of the dressing room in the El Campanil Theatre.  All photos by or courtesy of Judy Therrien.

Mack is busy in Aspen with John Denver Tribute Concerts as well as his own solo concert.

In a long weekend, Mack performed in five concerts, two at the Wheeler Opera House (with the Chad Mitchell Trio), the Let This Be a Voice auction with Chris Nole, a chapel service, and his own "dessert" concert, using Rachel Levy on background vocals and Pete Huttlinger and Chris Nole.  Here are a few photos.  More will be coming.

The publicity has been great for the Limeliters' concert in Aspen on October 23.  The group, whose name was derived from the Limelite Lodge in Aspen, returns after many many years, this time with Mack as the tenor member.

Read the articles copied from The Aspen Times.

Alex, Andy and Mack pose by the Limelite Lodge, the "birthplace" of the Limeliters in the late 1950's (pre-Mack, of course), and enjoying Aspen.  They set up their semi-public rehearsals in the Lounge, where the music club used to be.  Alex and other original member Glenn Yarbrough owned the club, formed the group and performed there; needing a group name, they used the club's name.

"Music From the Mountains" - 4th Annual Concert for Maryland Therapeutic Riding

Two nights of festivities during the last weekend of September helped MTR raise funds needed to build an indoor riding arena.  The Friday night Fiesta showcased the riders' achievements, highlighted with a moving horse riding demonstration.  Saturday night's concert was a triumph - fun for both the audience and the performers.

At the Friday night "Fiesta," John Sommers and Mack greet rider Zane Jackson after his riding demonstration performance.

Mack brought the MTR crowd to their feet with his emotional rendition of "Eagles and Horses" - which they have adopted as their theme song.

"Thank God I'm a Country Boy" was led by its composer, John Sommers on fiddle, joined by Gary Muledeer, Mack, Bill Danoff, Mollie Weaver and Kenn Roberts.

About Mack, it says:

MTR is a Crownsville-based nonprofit that puts the healing energy of horses to work for more than 160 special needs riders ranging from age 2 to 76.  Mr. Bailey has been an ardent supporter of this group ever since they adopted his stirring (version of the) ode “Eagles and Horses,” as their unofficial theme song six years ago.

Mr. Bailey is a phenomenal guitarist with a full, mellow voice that is exquisitely suited to Mr. Denver’s repertoire.  He was complemented by the lovely Mollie Weaver, a velvety-toned mezzo who harmonized beautifully with him in such showstoppers as “Sweet Surrender,” “Shanghai Breezes” and “Fly Away,” to name but a few.
